Commissions
I mainly take commissions for pet portraits, wildlife and seascapes.
A pet portrait is a perfect way to honour your furry or feathery friend. Ideally I prefer to spend time with animals and take my own set of photographs in order to identify and capture personality traits that are unique to every animal, but if I am unable to meet the animal in person I can paint a portrait based on photos supplied by the owner.
It is essential to capture the personality for pet portraits where the difference between a great animal painting and a personal momento that makes you smile is all in the detail of expressions and context.
Please see my easy guide to 'How to Commission a Painting' for prices and the steps involved. Please see my testimonials for comments and reviews on how I have captured the special personalities of my clients' pets.
I can create portraits of any size in oils.

JD
"Andrea's portrait of our beloved King Charles Cavalier JD was absolute perfection. We lost him very suddenly 10-years-old a few months previously and wanted a painting that was both a tribute to his life and captured his unique personality. Andrea's work has done that and more: it's almost like he's back with us. She was also a joy to work with, quick to respond to emails and helping us to choose the best photograph to use.
I would recommend her to anybody."

Wooster
"Andrea did a fantastic portrait of our black Labrador. It was a present for my husband and he is absolutely thrilled with it and is still talking about it! she was amazing to deal with and would definitely recommend her to everyone I know!"

Ring-tailed Lemurs
"I’d commissioned a smaller picture from Andrea before and on the basis of that work when an opportunity to commission a bigger picture came up, I did not hesitate to commission Andrea again. The resulting work has surpassed our expectations!! As Andrea was sending me picture updates as work on the painting progressed you could see the level of detail and care that was being taken. I particularly appreciated how working from a photograph allowed Andrea to remove a branch from the original photo that partially obscured one of the lemurs, such that you would never know it had been in the original photo. The result is truly stunning!! I gave this as a present to my wife at party last weekend. It got a lovely reaction from my wife and lots of amazed comments from others who were there, many of whom thought it was a photograph rather than a painting. Thank you again Andrea for your amazing work and I would recommend others to consider this approach, turning a photo into work of art.

Lilo & Stitch
"Thank you so much Andrea for taking on the challenge of painting Hannah and Jake’s duo of Lilo and Stitch, their super friendly cats. We are all thrilled with the painting, which has joined your paintings of their dogs Sasha and Hal. The composition of the painting is perfect, and you have totally captured their individuality. I know it wasn’t your easiest commission and we are really grateful for you taking on the challenge and pulling it off with such skill and flair. Thank you"

Nell
"Andrea did a commission of our Labrador Nell for me which I gave to my husband for Christmas. Andrea is so passionate about her work and kept me updated with progress photos which really gave me a clear insight into the process and work that goes into producing all her stunning artwork. Andrea has not only captured all of Nell's beautiful features but her personality too. We are blown away with her portrait and will treasure it forever."
